Deeper Life Church Denounces Fake Report Attributed To Pastor Kumuyi

The Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM) has strongly condemned what it described as a “malicious and entirely false” news report circulated by an online platform identified as Ibomfocus, which claimed that its General Superintendent, Pastor William F. Kumuyi, made comments dismissing reports of Christian persecution in Nigeria.
In an official statement released on Monday, the church dismissed the publication titled “America is Trying to Steal Our Natural Resources; There is No Christian Genocide in Nigeria, says Pastor Kumuyi” as “a total fabrication and the figment of the imagination of its authors.”
According to DCLM, Pastor Kumuyi “did not at any time address a press conference or make the aforementioned statement in Lagos,” adding that he has been outside Nigeria for a considerable period, conducting gospel programmes in the Oceania region and the Far East.
The statement further clarified that the respected cleric “is well known for focusing entirely on preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ” and “does not dabble into politics, as the false story seemed to suggest.”
The church warned those behind the publication and others seeking to drag Pastor Kumuyi into political controversies to desist, cautioning that “in the future, any such activity may attract action.”
The ministry reiterated its commitment to truth and the gospel message, urging members of the public to disregard the fake report and verify information from official DCLM channels.
