As the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) prepares to launch its continuous voter registration on August 18, 2025, Dr. Femi Adekanmbi, Managing Director of the Benin-Owena River Basin Development Authority (BORBDA) and a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) leader in Ondo State, has passionately urged residents to participate actively.

He emphasized the exercise’s critical role in expanding the APC’s voter base to ensure a resounding electoral victory for the President in the 2027 General Election.

In a statement released on Saturday, Dr. Adekanmbi underscored the strategic importance of the registration drive, calling on APC supporters and Ondo residents to mobilize extensively to enroll new voters and assist those who have lost their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) or relocated.

“This is a defining moment to strengthen our party’s influence and secure the President’s triumph”

“I urge all residents of Ondo State, to turn out in large numbers, encouraging citizens without PVCs, those who have relocated, or those who have misplaced their cards to register.

This will demonstrate our unity and resolve to deliver a resounding victory in 2027,” he declared.

The APC chieftain stressed the necessity of maintaining electoral integrity, warning against actions that could compromise the process.

“We must ensure this exercise is transparent and credible. Any individual found undermining the registration will face severe consequences,” he cautioned, advocating for strict adherence to INEC’s guidelines.

He lauded the leadership of the party for their thorough preparations and expressed confidence in their ability to execute a flawless registration process.

He called on the people of Ondo State to win the trust of new voters, including those without PVCs or who have relocated.

“This effort will build a formidable electoral foundation to secure the President’s victory in the 2027 elections”, he concluded
