Controversial Pastor Tobi Adegboyega Reveals Cancer Battle in Emotional Sermon

Tobi Adegboyega, the controversial Nigerian-born pastor and founder of the now-defunct SPAC Nation, has publicly revealed that he is battling cancer.
In a pre-recorded sermon aired on Thursday and widely circulated online, Adegboyega addressed his congregation, The Nxtion Family, sharing intimate details of his diagnosis and recent surgery.
“I was diagnosed with cancer. Yes, you heard me right,” he stated. “I’ve been dealing with cancer for the past few months or even more. I just had a major surgery—that’s why I am not there today.”
Adegboyega, known for his flamboyant lifestyle and youth-focused ministry, described his recovery as a divine second chance. “I have just fought the battle, and I feel the verdict to continue to live was given to me by God for a new level, for a new stage,” he added.
Once a prominent figure in London’s evangelical scene, Adegboyega rose to fame through his unorthodox approach to ministry, targeting disenfranchised youths and often attracting media attention for his designer wardrobe, luxury vehicles, and celebrity affiliations.
However, his ministry has long been marred by controversy. In 2022, SPAC Nation was officially shut down by UK authorities following an investigation into financial misconduct. A UK court found the church had failed to account for £1.87 million in expenses, leading to its dissolution.
Despite the ongoing scrutiny, Adegboyega maintains a loyal following. His recent health revelation has prompted an outpouring of support from members and supporters across social media, many praising his resilience and calling for prayers during his recovery.
