Property construction giant and Chairman of DHB Group Limited, Hakeem Alobo-Bakare, on Friday September 10, 2021 began his journey towards 2023 senatorial race as he launched his inauguration meeting in Lagos.

This was after he received blessings of many top political leaders as well as those that matter in the scheme of things across Lagos Central Senatorial District.

Alobo-Bakare however, promised to serve the people selflessly if he is given the opportunity to represent them at the red chamber.

The highly cerebral man is no stranger in the Lagos political turf, though he had been in the trenches for decades.

He was a governorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2015 elections that eventually produced former governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State.

However, he remained relevant in the scheme of things in the state.

It was reliably gathered that his ambition is buoyed by his unprecedented contributions to the growth of his constituency that has warmed him into the hearts of the people.

He also has a solid political structure, unmatched clout as well as untainted integrity.

Alobo-Bakare has since become a reference point in the nation’s properties construction sector.

This is not a mean feat as those close to him attributed this to his relentless efforts as well as personal strength built through struggle, tenacity, resilience, unbending determination, focus and business acumen.

The 63-year-old business guru has channelled his experiences and he has personally touched the lives of countless people, who have had to seek for his assistance in combating their challenges.

The successful businessman towers above many of his contemporaries, particularly because he has been in the limelight for many decades.

The Business Administration graduate of the University of Lagos, Akoka is a fellow of the Chattered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria.

Unlike many politicians with no ‘second address,’ the Lagos State-born business magnate is into business full time, while moonlighting as a politician, albeit ready to serve.

After a stint with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the brave and courageous man took a plunge into the stormy and highly capital intensive construction industry with his company, DHB Construction Limited.

Since then, Alobo-Bakare has continued to make indelible marks in the field.

Like a man with Midas Touch, his construction company has grown into conglomerate with subsidiaries that include, DHB Properties, Limited, Hexagon Logistics, Temjob Limited, Eko Trans Afrik Limited among others.

To those that are close to Alobo-Bakare he is a man that is ready to serve and who will “offer selfless service to the people and change the perceived notion that politicians seek public offices to amass wealth.”
