COAS Urges Graduands Of Nigerian Army College Of Logistics And Management To Uphold Highest Standards Of Excellence

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Olatubosun Oluyede, has commended the graduating officers of the Logistics Staff Course (LSC) 22 of 2025 at the Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management (NACOLM), Lagos for their dedication and professionalism.
Represented by the General Officer Commanding 81 Division, Major General Farouk Mijinyawa, General Oluyede, emphasized that logistics is vital to contemporary military operations and urged the graduands to maintain the high standards of professionalism and excellence instilled in them during their training.
The graduation ceremony, held on August 1, 2025, at the Tukur Yusuf Buratai Hall of the NACOLM permanent site in Ojo Lagos.
In his address, the SGOH commended the Commandant, faculty and the entire College community for their effective fulfillment of the College’s mission.
He highlighted the significance of training more officers to fill logistics roles across various Army Headquarters departments, formations and units, crucial for sustaining effective operations.
General Oluyede reiterated that the course was designed to provide purpose-driven logistics training of officers with the need to enhance logistics planning capacities during war and peacetime functions.
He further commended the College for continuing to equip officers with requisite leadership and analytical skills to effectively discharge their duties in joint and combined environment.
Earlier in his welcome remarks, Major General Wisdom Benjamin Etuk, the Commandant of NACOLM, noted that the ceremony marked an important milestone in the professional development of 32 middle cadre officers, comprising 30 Nigerian Army officers and 2 Nigerian Navy officers.
Major General Etuk expressed gratitude to the COAS for his keen interest and commitment to the College since he assumed command, which has repositioned NACOLM to contribute more to the professional training drive of the Nigerian Army.
The ceremony featured presentation of certificates and awards, induction of graduates into the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria (CIPSM) and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) as well as a group photograph and refreshments at the NACOLM RC Duru Officers’ Mess.
Distinguished guests at the ceremony were Corps Commanders, Flag Officers, Air Officer Commanding Logistics Command, Directors, Commandants of Nigerian Army Schools, Commanders and Commanding Officers, Captains of Industries, Presidents of CILT and CIPSM among other dignitaries.
