City of Refuge set to create a New Nation For Nigeria

The City of Refuge International Ministries will be celebrating its 25th year anniversary starting today June 3-6 at its headquarters in Lekki, Lagos as Dr Cosmas Ilechukwu, General Secretary of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) is preaching on THE NEW NATION.

The church is aglow with preparations to ensure that the celebration which has been tagged: A New Nation, sets the pace for a grand return of the church and the entire country into a brand new beginning.

But how is that going to happen? We spoke to the Presiding Bishop of the Church, Bishop Oscar Ossai, and here’s what he had to say:

“We have cause to celebrate grandly despite the tough times in the country and globally. The world is still struggling with the Covid-19 pandemic and our country Nigeria is presently bedevilled with banditry, kidnapping, lawlessness here and there, coupled with Boko Haram, Herdsmen and so on. But amidst all these, is the love of God that He has bestowed on us all these years. It is that love that we will be celebrating in the first week of June during our 20th year anniversary.

“Also important is the new beginning of Nigeria that we will kick start during our celebration. We are set to do away with the past. We will be putting forward, ‘Faith as a basis of consensus in Nigeria.’ That’s the concept of our program that will take off the first week of June. 2023, Christianity must produce Nigeria’s leaders. The church must re-position this country along with other Nigerians. As a country, we must push for and have a new nation starting from this year. It is achievable and we are ready.”

The City of Refuge program which is scheduled for 5pm daily, June 3-6, will feature Men Servants of God, which will include, Pastor Bosun Emmanuel, Pastor Cosmos Ilechukwu, Dr Bolaji Akinyemi, Ada Monakaya, Jaymyah, The White Worship Crew and of course, the Presiding Bishop himself, Bishop Oscar Ossai.
