Chioma Chukwuka moved fans with an emotional reaction after winning the Best Lead Actress award at the 11th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) for her stellar performance in Seven Doors.

Although she was not present at the ceremony, where Femi Adebayo accepted the award on her behalf, the actress later shared a heartfelt video on Instagram, visibly overwhelmed with joy and gratitude as she shed tears in celebration of the recognition.

Chukwuka’s win stood out in a fiercely competitive category that included Gbubemi Ejeye (Farmer’s Bride), Uzoamaka Onuoha (Agemo), Uche Montana (Thin Line), Uzoamaka Aniunoh (Phoenix Fury), Hilda Dokubo (Wives on Strike 3), and Bimbo Ademoye (Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre).

The win not only reaffirmed Chukwuka’s reputation as one of Nollywood’s most respected talents but also marked a significant highlight in a night that celebrated excellence across African film and television.

Sharing the video, she wrote: “THANK YOU JESUS !!! .Words really fail me !. AMVCA BEST ACTRESS 2025”
