BREAKING: APC Gov’ primaries: Zulum wins Borno APC Governorship Primary, rejects VP slot from 2 presidential aspirants
Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, was on Thursday declared the winner of the Borno APC governorship primary and was returned unopposed with 1411 votes.
His acceptance speech :
I have accepted my nomination for second term as the flag bearer of our great party.
But let me make it very clear, that I have received offers of becoming the Vice President from two Presidential Aspirant and many Nigerians have recommended me for the position of the President or Vice.
Despite the privileges attached to the Office of the Vice President, I wish to inform you that I will not accept the offer of been the Vice President despite the privileges attached to this position.
I want to stay over and continue to serve the good people of Borno for the next four years.
Borno is my number one priority and I will continue to work hard to ensure peace and stability in our dear state.
