Bello Turji Attacks Mosque in Birnin Yaro, Kidnaps Dozens of Worshippers
Suspected bandits led by notorious warlord Bello Turji launched a brazen attack on a mosque in Birnin Yaro village, Zamfara State, during Isha prayers on Friday night.
Intelligence source told Zagazola Makama that Turji and his armed men stormed the mosque, disrupting the congregation and abducting an unspecified number of worshippers.
The attackers reportedly herded the victims into the forest. The exact number of those kidnapped remains unknown as of the time of filing this report.
Turji may be planning to use the people as shield against attack on his enclave by the Nigerian troops of Operation FANSAN YANMMA,said a source.
