Aspirants, Well-Wishers Hail Deji Of Akure On 10th Coronation Anniversary

A wave of goodwill and tributes has trailed the 10th coronation anniversary of the Deji of Akure Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II, with notable individuals and community leaders commending his decade-long reign of peace, cultural revitalization, and progressive leadership.
Among those who joined in the celebration is Mr. Olusola Agbi, a North American-trained infrastructure development expert and a House of Representatives aspirant for the Akure North/South Federal Constituency. In a press statement issued on Monday, Agbi extolled the monarch’s virtues and the remarkable impact his reign has had on the Akure Kingdom.
Describing Oba Aladelusi’s 10th anniversary on the throne as a “landmark moment” for the people of Akure, Agbi said the monarch has become a unifying symbol of peace, progress, and tradition. He noted that under the Deji’s guidance, the Akure Kingdom has witnessed significant cultural resurgence, infrastructural advocacy, and strengthened communal bonds.
“Oba Aladelusi’s steady and visionary leadership over the past decade has not only preserved our cultural heritage but has also provided a moral compass and rallying point for the sons and daughters of Akure at home and in the diaspora,” Agbi stated.
The federal legislative aspirant particularly praised the monarch’s role in promoting peaceful coexistence among indigenes and residents of the kingdom. He acknowledged the monarch’s efforts in fostering dialogue, tolerance, and mutual respect, saying they have contributed immensely to the socio-political stability and economic advancement of the ancient city.
Agbi also applauded the Deji’s commitment to cultural preservation, citing the revival of traditional festivals, protection of historical institutions, and his engagement with the youth on the values of identity, respect, and heritage.
“In today’s fast-changing world, where the threads of culture and identity are being tested, His Imperial Majesty has remained a pillar of continuity—reminding us all of the strength and wisdom embedded in our roots,” he added.
Concluding his message, Mr. Agbi extended heartfelt congratulations to the revered monarch and the entire Akure Kingdom.
“On behalf of my family and campaign team, I felicitate His Imperial Majesty, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II, and the good people of Akure on this joyous occasion. I pray for God’s continued guidance, divine wisdom, sound health, and a reign marked by greater peace and prosperity,” he said.
The 10th coronation anniversary of the Deji of Akure is being marked with a week-long series of cultural, religious, and civic activities, drawing dignitaries from across the country and members of the Akure diaspora.
Oba Aladelusi, a highly respected traditional ruler and member of the Ondo State Council of Obas, ascended the throne in July 2015. Over the past ten years, his reign has been characterized by his passionate defense of Yoruba culture, advocacy for youth development, and unwavering dedication to the progress of his people
