APC Deputy National Spokesman, Meseko Greets Marwa on NDLEA Reappointment As NDLEA CEO, Cites Longstanding Association
Hon. Durosinmi Meseko, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has extended his warm congratulations to Brigadier General Buba Marwa (rtd.) following his reappointment as the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
In a statement released on Friday, Meseko described General Marwa’s second term as a well-deserved affirmation of his exceptional performance in combating drug trafficking and abuse across the nation. Meseko noted that under Marwa’s leadership, the NDLEA has achieved unprecedented operational successes, restoring public confidence in the agency.
“General Marwa has demonstrated unparalleled dedication and strategic vision in tackling the menace of drug abuse, which poses a significant threat to our youth and national stability,” Meseko stated. “His reappointment is a clear signal that the government prioritizes competence and results.”
The congratulatory message carries additional significance due to the deep professional history between the two figures.
Meseko, a seasoned journalist and political communicator, once served as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) for Albarka Airlines, a domestic carrier that was owned by General Buba Marwa during its operational period.
This previous working relationship underscores the basis of Meseko’s confidence in Marwa’s ability to drive institutional reform and further consolidate the gains made at the NDLEA. Meseko wished General Marwa a successful tenure, urging him to continue his aggressive campaign against illicit substances.
