Anxiety Over Charly Boy’s Father, Justice Oputa’s Ailment

Justice Oputa, who headed the famous Oputa Panel set up by former president Olusegun Obasanjo after he assumed office in 1999 to look into the human rights abuses by the military regimes, was hit by stroke some days ago at his Oguta hometown in Imo State.
Information reaching us has it that the family members of the retired legal luminary are worried and devastated by the development.
What is paramount to them is for Justice Oputa to recover from the ailment and get back on his feet. We learnt that since he was hit by the stroke, efforts have been made to give him the best medical treatment.
The latest move by family members, according to sources, is to fly him abroad for a better medical attention. We gathered that Charly Boy is not leaving anything to chances in getting his father back on his feet as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, as efforts were being made to treat Justice Oputa, news reached Charly Boy that his father-in-law was down with cancer. This development was said to have hit him below the belt and left his wife, Lady Di completely devastated.
