The memorial event, held in Lagos, brought together family, friends, and well-wishers who gathered to honor the memory of the late patriarch, known for his philanthropic efforts and dedication to helping others.
In his tribute, Abimbola described his father as a man of unparalleled integrity, who believed in doing the right thing even when it was hard or unpopular. “The passing of my dad left a void in my life that’s impossible to fill, but his memory is a constant source of light and guidance,” he said.

Abimbola expressed gratitude for the time he shared with his father, and how his legacy lives on in the values he instilled in him. “I strive to honor his memory by living a life of integrity, showing love and kindness to others, and finding joy in the simple things,” he said.
The event was a celebration of Alhaji Yunus’ life and legacy, and a testament to the impact he had on those around him.
