Again, Oyo NAWOJ Disowns Jadesola Ajibola

For the second time in recent times, the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Oyo State Chapter, on Wednesday alerted the public that Comrade Jadesola Ajibola is no longer the Chairperson of the association.
This was contained in a release signed by the association’s secretary, Comrade Eniola Adeaga and made available to journalists in Ibadan.
It was revealed in the statement that Comrade Ajibola’s tenure as Chairperson ended May 2024, and a new leadership team has taken over.
The Association stated that despite her inglorious exit, Jadesola has continued to parade herself as the Chairperson of NAWOJ, Oyo State Chapter.
The Association said that it was not pleased with reports emanating from some quarters that Ajibola was hiding under one NGO to undermine the Association’s leadership.
“We want to categorically state that Comrade Ajibola’s actions are unauthorized and misleading. Her claims that Oyo NAWOJ has no leadership after her inglorious exit is false and intended to deceive the public to feather her own nests.
“The current leadership of NAWOJ, Oyo State Chapter, is Comrade Omolola Alamu and all correspondences and interactions with the association should be directed to the current leadership.
“We urge the public to disregard any claims or actions made by Comrade Ajibola purporting to represent Oyo NAWOJ under whatever guise,” the Association added.
