Africa Aviation Aerospace University (AAAU) Signs Strategic Partnership With French Aviation School

The Registrar of Africa Aviation and Aerospace University, Mustapha Abdullahi Sheikh, and the Business Development Manager of Ecole Nationale de l’Aviation Civile, Farbrice Fabre, have formalised a landmark collaboration through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

This significant milestone reportedly came as a result of the visionary efforts spearheaded by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo SAN CON FCIarb (UK), in exploring avenues for mutually beneficial relationships in the aviation sector.
This was contained in a statement signed by the SA Media and Communications to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr Tunde Moshood and dated March 7, 2024.
The MoU solidified the commitment of both institutions to foster enhanced cooperation in higher education, with a specific focus on the aviation and aerospace domains.
Representing the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Republic of France respectively, AAAU and ENAC expressed their sincere interest in leveraging their collective expertise and resources to drive academic advancement, research collaboration, and student engagement.
“Our collaboration with ENAC marks a pivotal moment in our pursuit of excellence in aviation education,” remarked Mustapha Abdullahi Sheikh, Registrar of AAAU.
“By joining forces with one of the world’s leading aviation institutions, we are poised to unlock new opportunities for our students and faculty, while also contributing to the advancement of the global aviation industry,” he said.
“Key areas of collaboration outlined in the MoU include:
“Training Services: Provision of training services for the benefit of AAAU’s Faculty of Aviation Management.
“Educational Curricula Development: Collaborative development and delivery of educational curricula and exchanges on modules of mutual interest.
“Virtual Lecture Delivery: ENAC to collaborate with AAAU in virtual lecture delivery, enhancing accessibility and flexibility for students.
“Research Collaboration: Joint research projects and initiatives leveraging the unique strengths and capabilities of both institutions.
“Workshops and Conferences: Collaborative workshops, seminars, and conferences addressing key challenges and opportunities in the aviation sector.
“Shared Resources and Facilities: Utilization of shared resources and facilities to support the development and implementation of innovative educational programs and initiatives.
“Capacity-Building Programs: Implementation of capacity-building programs aimed at enhancing the skills and competencies of aviation professionals.
“Implementation of the outlined initiatives is set to commence upon the completion of a mutually agreed Technical Cooperation Agreement, with both parties committed to expediting the process.
“The signing of this MoU represents a significant step forward in strengthening ties between our institutions and fostering excellence in aviation education,” stated Farbrice Fabre, Business Development Manager of ENAC. “We look forward to a fruitful partnership that will benefit students, faculty, and the aviation industry at large,” the statement read.
It was added that the collaboration between AAAU and ENAC underscores a shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and global cooperation in higher education.
“As both institutions embark on this transformative journey, they are poised to make enduring contributions to the advancement of the aviation and aerospace sectors,” Moshood added.
