BREAKING:Evangelist Uma Ukpai Reportedly Passes On At 80
Nigeria’s renowned international evangelist and founder of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, Evangelist Uma Ukpai, has reportedly passed away at the age of 80.
Born on January 7, 1945, the revered preacher was widely respected for his decades of evangelistic ministry that spanned continents, touching countless lives through crusades, outreaches, and faith-based humanitarian works.
News of his alleged demise began circulating on social media on Sunday, following a post by @therealchurchgist, a popular Christian news platform on X (formerly Twitter). The post read:
“A GENERAL TAKES A BOW! EVANGELIST UMA UKPAI HAS GONE TO BE WITH THE LORD. REST IN POWER SIR! MORE DETAILS SHORTLY…”
As of press time, official confirmation from the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association or family members was still being awaited.
Evangelist Ukpai, a native of Asaga Ohafia in Abia State, was celebrated for his fiery preaching style, deep compassion, and lifelong dedication to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ across Nigeria and beyond.
