The Coordinator of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Elders’ Movement in Ondo State, Otunba Agboola Kelly, has described Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as an ingrate for allegedly failing to acknowledge the support he received from the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO), during his political challenges.

Kelly made the remark on Tuesday in Akure, the Ondo State capital, during the inauguration of local government coordinators of the Progressives Network for Tinubu (PNT).

He claimed that it was Dr. Tunji-Ojo who convinced key aspirants — Hon. Mayowa Akinfolarin and Morayo Lebi — to step down for Governor Aiyedatiwa in the build-up to the last APC governorship primaries.

“BTO judiciously deployed his personal resources to strengthen party activities in Ondo State and to support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu,” Kelly stated.

Also speaking at the event, the Convener of PNT, Pastor Olumide Obadele, lauded the leadership qualities of the Interior Minister, noting his unwavering dedication to the success of President Tinubu’s administration.

“Our mission, as directed by our principal, the Honourable Minister, is to mobilize extensively to secure 95 percent of the total votes for the President in Ondo State,” Obadele said.

The event featured the formal inauguration of coordinators for the eighteen local government areas of Ondo State, reaffirming PNT’s commitment to deepening grassroots mobilization for the APC and advancing President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda in the state.
