Super Eagles goalkeeper, Ojo Olorunleke, has dismissed the allegations recently made against him by his wife, Tosin Olorunleke, stressing that the matter is strictly matrimonial and not criminal.

In a statement issued on Monday, September 8, by his legal representatives, I Musa & Associates, the footballer described the claims of witchcraft, poisoning, violence, and threats to life as “false, malicious and damaging to his professional standing.”

“Our client categorically denies all the allegations of witchcraft, poisoning, violence, or threats to life being circulated. These statements are false, malicious, and have caused unwarranted damage,” the release said.

The legal team maintained that the issues between the couple will be resolved “legally, peacefully, and in the best interest of the children of the marriage,” while assuring the public that Olorunleke has never endangered, and will never endanger, the lives of his wife or children.

He was also described as a devoted father who continues to take responsibility for his children’s welfare.

Cautioning the media, bloggers, and the general public, the law firm advised against spreading defamatory and unverified claims, warning that Olorunleke reserves the right to pursue legal action against anyone or any outlet promoting falsehoods.

This response follows Mrs. Olorunleke’s recent social media outburst where she alleged that her life was under threat after the Federal Government rewarded the Super Eagles with national honours, land, and housing for their performance at the Africa Cup of Nations.
