ANAMBRA SHOCKER: NATIVE DOCTOR CONFESSES TO BUYING USED CONDOMS FROM PROSTITUTES

Residents of Anambra State were left stunned over the weekend after a bizarre revelation involving a native doctor and a trade in used condoms rocked the Echara community in Awka North Local Government Area.

The suspect, identified as Anagbo Emeka from Umugbo in Ayamelum LGA, was apprehended on Saturday by vigilant youths after suspicions arose about his unusual dealings. What followed was even more shocking—a confession that he had been purchasing used male condoms from prostitutes for fetish purposes.

In a viral video shared on Facebook by community leader Dr. Uche Nworah, the native doctor, visibly subdued, openly admitted to striking a deal with a commercial sex worker to supply him with the discarded contraceptives.

“I agreed with her to sell me used condoms. She delivered them, but later reported me. That is the wrong thing I did,” Emeka confessed in the footage.

According to his own account, the arrangement collapsed after the woman betrayed him by exposing the secret transaction. He went on to reveal that the items were crucial ingredients for charms and rituals central to his practice.

The disturbing disclosure has since sparked conversations across Anambra and beyond, with many expressing concern over the public health risks, moral decay, and the dangers of fetish practices tied to sexual exploitation.

Community members say Emeka’s arrest reflects a growing vigilance among locals determined to confront the hidden world of ritual practices that continue to thrive under the surface of everyday life.

The Anambra State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement on whether the suspect will face charges, but the development underscores once again the uneasy intersection of traditional beliefs, desperation, and crime in parts of Nigeria.
