Benjamin Hundeyin Takes Over As Force PRO

The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed the appointment of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Benjamin Hundeyin as its new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO).
Hundeyin, who succeeds Deputy Commissioner of Police Olumuyiwa Adejobi, brings years of experience in law enforcement and public communication to the position. Until his new posting, he served as the Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, where he earned a reputation for accessibility, transparency, and effective engagement with the public and the media.
His appointment comes at a crucial time when the Police Force is striving to strengthen public trust and improve its image. Known for his active presence on social media and swift response to public concerns, Hundeyin is expected to sustain and expand ongoing reforms in police-community relations.
Adejobi, his predecessor, was recently promoted to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police and redeployed to Delta State as Deputy Commissioner in charge of Operations.
With this transition, the Force hierarchy has expressed confidence that Hundeyin will deepen the gains recorded under Adejobi and continue to project the image of the police as a people-centered institution.
