Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has applauded the return of the former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the 2023 elections, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Obasa, who hosted Jandor on Tuesday at his Ikeja GRA residence, described the development as a major political boost for the ruling party in Lagos. He noted that the APC remains the only party that truly embodies the aspirations of Lagosians and Nigerians at large.

“We are happy to have you back. This is a very good move,” Obasa said, assuring Jandor of full reintegration into the APC and partnership in the collective pursuit of good governance. He further commended Jandor’s courage, emphasizing that the APC’s inclusive structure offers the best platform for unity and development.

In his remarks, Jandor—who formally rejoined the APC in March—expressed gratitude to the Speaker for the warm reception. He pledged his commitment to working with the party for the progress of Lagos and Nigeria, saying:

“It is only through unity of purpose, shared sacrifice, and responsible leadership that we can secure a brighter and more prosperous future for every Nigerian.”

He also praised President Bola Tinubu’s ongoing tax reforms, describing them as bold and necessary steps toward restructuring the economy and laying a strong foundation for sustainable prosperity.
