TRANSCORP GROUP POSTS STRONG H1 2025 RESULTS, DECLARES N4.06BN INTERIM DIVIDEND

Transnational Corporation Plc (Transcorp Group), one of Nigeria’s foremost listed conglomerates, has reported robust growth in its unaudited half-year (H1) financial results for the period ended June 30, 2025. The company posted a 59% increase in revenue to N279.7 billion, up from N175.4 billion in the corresponding period of 2024. Profit before tax also rose by 21%, reaching N85.7 billion compared to N70.9 billion in H1 2024.
Despite economic headwinds, the Group’s diversified business portfolio spanning power, hospitality, and energy sectors continues to yield strong returns, underlining Transcorp’s resilience and strategic focus.
As part of its commitment to rewarding shareholders, the Group has declared an interim dividend of N4.064 billion, translating to 40 kobo per ordinary share, subject to applicable withholding tax.
The reporting period also saw the successful launch of the Transcorp Centre in Abuja—a world-class, 5,000-seat convention and events facility—which has already hosted major regional and international events, including the 2025 AFREXIM Annual Meetings.
Tony O. Elumelu, CFR, Chairman of Transnational Corporation Plc, said:
“Delivering on our impact-driven, value-creating mission, we continue to invest strategically in Nigeria’s key sectors. Owen Omogiafo, OON, President and Group CEO of Transcorp Group, stated:
“Our Q2 2025 performance highlights our operational excellence and strategic agility. We have not only weathered the challenges of a dynamic economic landscape but also remained focused on scaling our operations and delivering stakeholder value. The commissioning of the Transcorp Centre positions Nigeria as a top destination for large-scale global events.”
Transnational Corporation Plc is one of Africa’s leading conglomerates with strategic investments across power, hospitality, and energy. Its power subsidiaries, Transcorp Power Plc and Transafam Power, contribute over 20% of Nigeria’s installed power capacity. In hospitality, Transcorp Hotels Plc owns and operates the iconic Transcorp Hilton Abuja and manages the digital accommodation platform, Aura by Transcorp Hotels. The Group also has significant investments in Nigeria’s domestic energy sector, including OPL281.
Transcorp’s H1 2025 performance reaffirms its position as a key driver of economic growth and transformation in Nigeria and across the continent.
