Ganduje Not Sick: Ex-APC National Chairman, Healthy And On Vacation In The UK — No Reason To Rush Back For President’s Condolence Visit

Contrary to false reports circulating online, His Excellency Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is not ill. The seasoned politician is currently in the United Kingdom, enjoying a private vacation with his family. He remains in good health, full of energy, and has been seen engaging in light social and personal activities abroad.
Some commentators had speculated about Ganduje’s absence during President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent condolence visit to the family of the late elder statesman, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, falsely suggesting it was due to illness or political tension. However, sources close to the former governor have clarified that Ganduje was already out of the country at the time and had no immediate reason to interrupt his scheduled travel.
“There was no expectation for him to rush back from the UK just to attend the condolence visit. He had already travelled before the visit took place,” a source close to the family said. “The insinuation that he deliberately avoided the President is completely false. In fact, he maintains a warm and respectful relationship with President Tinubu.”
The fake news is believed to be another attempt by political adversaries to stir division and spread falsehoods. Supporters have urged the public to ignore such baseless claims and allow the elder statesman to enjoy his time with family in peace.
Dr. Ganduje is expected to return to Nigeria in the coming days, reenergized and ready to continue contributing to national discourse and political development.
