Breaking: Olubadan of Ibadanland Dies Few Days After 90th Birthday
The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin, Ige Olakulehin I, has joined his ancestors.
First Weekly Magazine learnt that the monarch, who ascended the throne in July 2024, passed away in the early hours of Monday, July 7, 2025, after spending just a year on the throne.
Born on July 5, 1935, Oba Olakulehin’s demise comes barely two days after celebrating his 90th birthday.
Our reporter gathered that the late monarch received his staff of office from the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on July 12, 2024, as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland
