SPACO 89 Set Holds Health Talks, Gives Medical Advice, Medications To Teachers And Students
The 1989 set of Saint Patrick’s Grammar School (SPACO), Ibadan, Oyo State, led by the President, Revd Niyi Dahunsi has embarked on Reunion ’25.
Friday June 20, 2025 is dedicated to Career Talk to the entire students and medical check up for the staff and teachers of the school.
The career talk helped the students make informed decisions on their future.
The medical check up backed by pieces of advice would help the teachers have informed perspectives to having a good health.
The consultant, Professor Toyin Fajinmi touched on a lot of areas of health and the importance of early detection and treatment of ailments.
The old boys promised to continue to do this regularly.
This annual health talk is part of the activities to mark the annual reunion of the ’89 set .
While speaking about the annual health talk and medical outreach, the President of SPACO 89 set disclosed that the programme is aimed at sensitising the public on the importance of having consistence medical checkup to curb untimely death or avoidable emergencies.
“If we look at the level of people that are dying of high blood pressure nowadays and other avoidable medical mistakes, it is important to take our health matters seriously and that is why we are doing this annually,” he said.
While thanking the old students, the Principal of the school, Mr. Aderounmu Tope, urged the old students not to relent in coming around to uplift the school.
“I thank you for coming around to educate the students and most importantly the medical consultation to ascertain their health condition,” he said.
A member of the SPACO 89 set Board of Trustees, Pastor Muyiwa Oderinde, thanked the school management for the warm reception and their support annually.
He stated that the the old students will continue to support the school in terms of some physical developments.
