Clerics Recommend Unity, Love As Strategies To Tackle Insecurity

Two clerics of the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church, on Wednesday called for unity of purpose in the body of Christ as a strategy to fight insecurity.
The clerics, Special Apostle Segun Adio and Special Apostle Olusoji Faguda, made the call at the C&S 2025 Youth Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Lagos State.
The AGM had the theme: ‘United in Christ, Strengthening for Impact.”
Adio, Chairman of C&S Lagos State Youth Chapter, lauded the love and unity in the church, saying that there was need for all churches to be united and love one another.
He was represented by Special Apostle Femi Akinpelu, General Secretary, C&S Unification Church.
Adio said that unity and love would help churches to collaborate in prayers, advocacy and support for security operatives, all aimed at tackling insecurity.
“As stakeholders in the society, it will be a disservice for us to stand aloof, while unscrupulous elements continue to debase our dignity and right to life.
“As a united front, there is nothing wrong in seeking divine intervention for peace and stability of our country.
“As faithful, we believe in the power of the blood of Jesus Christ to aid human efforts geared toward the sustainability of humanity.
“Unification is the key, and that is why we are here today. In coming together, we will have strength to impact positively on people’s lives,” he said.
Adio admonished the youths to be focused, hardworking and united under Christ.
Also, Fabuda, the guest speaker, said that unity would facilitate progress.
Fabuda, Minister in-charge of Glory of God C&S Worldwide, said, “There is need for religious leaders to unite and preach against killings, kidnapping and banditry.”
He frowned at the action of some religious leaders, who he said castigate others with their preachings.
He said that such a conduct was caused by selfishness.
“Unity is very important, we should embrace peace,” he said.
In his remarks, Brother Ajose Moses, Youth Chairman, C&S Unification Church, Lagos State, urged youths to be steadfast in Christ, rebuild their trust in Him and follow the teachings of the Bible.
He appealed to Nigerian youths to shun all forms of crimes.
Also speaking, another youth leader, Sister Pamilerin Osunkoya urged the young population to use the social media to impact positively and project the image of the church and teachings as laid down by the founder, Spiritual leader Moses Orimolade
