‘Gwo Gwo Gwo’ Crooner, Mike Ejeagha, Dies At 95

Renowned highlife legend and “Gwo Gwo Gwo” crooner, Mike Ejeagha, has passed away.
The news of his death was confirmed on Friday night by his eldest son, Emma Ejeagha, who said that the music icon died following a prolonged illness in Enugu, Enugu State.
Ejeagha, celebrated for turning Igbo folklore and proverbs into compelling musical narratives, died at the age of 95, around 8pm.
According to family sources, he passed away at the 32 Garrison Hospital in Enugu, a facility operated by the Nigerian Army.
