Senator Smart Adeyemi Announces Passing of Beloved Family Matriarch, Princess Victoria Adeyemi

With deep gratitude to God for a life well-lived, Senator Adeyemi Smart (CON), former member of the 6th, 7th, and 9th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has formally announced the passing of his esteemed family matriarch, Princess Victoria, Dada, Kemiloye Adeyemi.JP

Lady Victoria Adeyemi passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at the age of 88. A native of Iyara in Ijumu Local Government Area (LGA), Kogi State, she was born into the royal family of Ibilola of Ilupa, Iyara, and later married Pa Solomon Adeyemi of the Araromi Royal Family, also in Iyara.

Her life journey took her to Minna, Niger State, where she lived for over 45 years and raised her six children. She eventually relocated to Abuja, where she spent her final years.

Described as a devoted mother, grandmother, and a pillar of faith, Lady Victoria Adeyemi dedicated her life to the service of God and positively impacted everyone who knew her. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and a brother.

Final burial arrangements and rites of passage will be communicated in due course.
