Gift Children Security Today – Princess Adeola Shittu Advocates Safe Learning Environments on 2025 Children’s Day
As Nigeria celebrates Children’s Day today, May 27, 2025, Princess Adeola Shittu, Convener of the Young Child in School Initiative and founder of Event Diary Lifestyle, joins the nation in emphasizing this year’s theme, “Tapping the Untapped Natural Treasure.”
This theme calls on all stakeholders—parents, educators, policymakers, and communities—to recognize and nurture the immense potential in every Nigerian child. These young treasures, often overlooked, hold talents, creativity, and abilities that, when properly supported, can shape a brighter future for the nation.
“Our children deserve a safe, secure environment—where they can play freely, learn effectively, and grow confidently. Providing them with safe playgrounds and quality learning centers is not just a gift but a responsibility,” Princess Shittu said. “Gift your children security today to empower their tomorrow.”
The Young Child in School Initiative continues to champion inclusive programs that reach children from all backgrounds, ensuring equal opportunities for growth, learning, and emotional support—especially in underserved communities.
Princess Shittu urged Nigerians to celebrate children every day by fostering nurturing environments, encouraging creativity, and listening attentively to their voices.
“Our children are true natural treasures waiting to be discovered and nurtured. Let us commit to unlocking their full potential for the benefit of all,” she concluded.
