Troops of Operation Hadin Kai Crush ISWAP/Boko Haram Terrorists in Damboa, Neutralize 16

In a decisive overnight operation, troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) delivered a crushing blow to ISWAP/Boko Haram terrorists in Damboa, Borno State, neutralizing 16 insurgents and forcing the rest into retreat.

According to military sources, the operation began around 1:00 AM when troops sighted a group of terrorists attempting to mount an assault near a Brigade location. In response, the soldiers launched sustained indirect fire, which was swiftly reinforced with close air support.

After nearly two hours of intense firefight, the terrorists were overwhelmed and forced to flee, leaving behind casualties and abandoned weapons. Sixteen of the insurgents were confirmed neutralized in the clash.

During the exchange, an ammunition storage facility was struck but was quickly secured by troops, preventing any further damage or escalation.

Following the successful operation, the troops have launched a pursuit mission to track and apprehend fleeing elements of the terror group.

Military authorities praised the swift response and bravery of the troops, reaffirming their commitment to restoring lasting peace in the North-East region.
