BREAKING: Tinubu Meets with Security Chiefs at Aso Villa Ahead of Rome Trip

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Friday, convened a high-level security meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja to address pressing national security concerns.

The closed-door session comes ahead of the President’s scheduled trip to Rome on Saturday for the inauguration of Pope Leo XIV.

In attendance were key members of the nation’s security architecture, including the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa; Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru; and National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.

Also present were the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Mr. Oluwatosin Ajayi; Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Olufemi Oluyede; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla; Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar; Chief of Defence Intelligence, Maj.-Gen. Emmanuel Undiandeye; and Deputy Inspector General of Police, Sadiq Idris Abubakar.

The meeting underscores the Tinubu administration’s continued prioritization of national security amid ongoing regional and global developments.
