Abducted Lady Rescued By Vigilante Group In Ibadan

A lady, Adenuga Damilola Deborah who was kidnapped in Ibadan, Oyo State by unknown gunmen has been rescued by a vigilante group.
Information made available to our reporter indicated that Damilola, a native of Ede in Osun State and aged 30,  was  kidnapped on April 3  on her way to church along Alomaja Idi Ayunre axis of Ibadan at about 4pm while the abduction was immediately reported to the police at Oluyole Local Government.
It was also confirmed that a local hunter, who was at the scene of the incident, alerted the vigilante group about the whereabouts of the victim who was reported to have been beating by the gunmen.
When contacted, head of the vigilante group Mr Kasali Jimoh hinted that his men were alerted by a local hunter and that they were able to rescue Damilola before they got to their final destination.
“Our men, who were on patrol, were alerted by a local hunter about the incident and I ordered them to comb the area and to God be the glory, Damilola was rescued alive, although efforts to arrest the gunmen was not successful because they fled immediately they saw our men.
It was gathered from a few eye witnesses, who had known Damilola in the past years, that she has had a few attacks in the past years due to her  alleged bisexual status.
He disclosed that Damilola was however, handed over to the police for further investigation.
