DIG Taiwo Lakanu Commends Officers Assigned To The Final Medical Screening Of 2022-2023 Constables

The DIG Taiwo Lakanu (Rtd) has commended officers and personnel assigned to the concluding medical screening of the 2022-2023 recruitment exercise of Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force.
DIG Lakanu did the commendation during a visit to the Police College, Ikeja, Lagos recently.
Before proceeding to the screening center, DIG Lakanu paid a courtesy visit to the Lagos State Police Command, where he was warmly received by senior officers, including DCP Fatai Tijani (DC Operations), DCP Saliu Khan, and other ranking officers.
In his address to the officers at the command, DIG Lakanu commended their efforts and urged them to remain dedicated to their duties.
He particularly advised them to closely monitor and caution their subordinates, especially those on field assignments, to be more proactive and firm in their responsibilities.
He emphasised the importance of avoiding vicarious liability cases, noting that the new administration of the Police Service Commission would not tolerate indiscipline.
Upon arrival at the Police College, DIG Lakanu met with the Commandant, who was represented by the DCP Administration.
The DCP Administration formally welcomed him and escorted him to the venue of the screening exercise.
At the screening venue, DCP Ojugbele (2IC, Zone 2) and the Medical Team, led by ACP Adegbite, received the DIG.
In his address, DIG Lakanu encouraged the medical team to remain steadfast, diligent, and committed to excellence in their selection process.
He stressed that their role was crucial in determining the caliber of recruits who would eventually join the Force. He warned that any lapses in the selection process could negatively impact the system, urging them to uphold professionalism and integrity.
Before his departure, DIG Lakanu expressed appreciation for the dedication of the team involved in the recruitment screening.
He commended their hard work and commitment to ensuring a transparent and efficient selection process for the future of the Nigeria Police Force.
