‘Spice IT UP’ a foundation initiated for couples to reconnect, celebrate and strengthen their union through curated experiences has planned Valentine’s edition to tackle social media challenges in marriages.
Princess Aderonke Erinle, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the foundation said in a news conference on Tuesday that ‘Spice IT UP’ was established to foster stronger bonds among couples in Lagos and the country at large.
Erinle said that the event was planned to host hundreds of both young and old couples to celebrate and have meaningful relationships through curated experiences and that blend elegance, entertainment and heartfelt moments.
‘Spice IT UP’ is an annual celebration of love and togetherness and our vision is to expand this celebration to other parts of the country bringing its message of love and unity to couples nationwide.
“This is the second edition where the main vision is to foster more bond among couples and platforms where relationships are rekindled.
“It is an avenue designed to celebrate love, unity and beauty of meaningful relationships, this exclusive couple’s dinner creates an enchanting evening of connections, joy and inspiration for couples during Valentine’s Day.
“Sometimes we take our relationship and marriages for granted, and marriage needs to be spiced up accordingly where we will tackle more social media challenges in marriages.
“So that’s why we are organising the ‘Spice IT UP’ event for couples to benefit and regain their lost passion for love and affections in their marriages,” she said.
According to her, the programme is not only meant for couples but also for prospective ones who are on courtships or engaged.
Mrs Ayodele Oyekanmi, one of the Marriage Advisers, in her remarks during the news conference said that the annual programme was meant to foster stronger bonds among couples.
Oyekanmi said that the event would inspire the celebration of love and create an annual tradition where relationships are rekindled and cherished across the country.
The couple’s adviser said that the 2025 year edition of Spice IT UP’ during Valentine Day would focus on ‘gratitude and forgiveness’, where couples would learn more on how to leave together in happiness.
Mrs Kehinde Ogundipe, a Retired Journalist from the Punch Newspaper in her remarks, said that the platform would also educate couples on how to deal with social media challenges in marriages.
Ogundipe said that both couples needed to respect their various positions in their marriages.
According to her, as some younger generations are scared of getting married, ‘Spice IT UP’ will enlighten them more and give them insight to make marriage easier and encouraging.
“This is why we are encouraging couples both old and young to benefit from the programme to celebrate 2025 Valentine’s day.
“It’s an avenue where we learn and share our experiences to encourage younger ones in marriage. (NAN)
