Bola Shagaya Bounces Back, Applauded By Audience Over Speech At Forum For Kwara Women

Hajia Bola Shagaya appears to have bounced back after being out of the radar for some time now as hundreds of audience are commending her over the speech she gave at a recent forum for Kwara State women.

The virtuous woman took the center stage and she was the cynosure of all eyes at the forum tagged; “Cracking The Glass Ceiling: the Story of Kwara Women,” which held on Tuesday December 7, 2021 at Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin.

Hajia Bola Shagaya, notable as a woman of great wisdom and ideas, was celebrated by the participants for her eloquence and for “cracking the glass ceiling.”

Hajia Shagaya was honoured and awarded at the event alongside the likes of a former acting Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Economy, Dr. Sarah Alade, former Chief Judge of Kwara State, Hon. Justice Raliat Elelu-Habeeb and former Presidential Candidate, Sarah Jubril.

Others that were honoured at the urbane event included the First Lady of Ekiti State, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, Founder/CEO Sokoa Chair Center, Mrs. Ibukun Awosika, Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen, and Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa.

Shagaya was widely described as a pride to womanhood, a pride to Nigeria, Kwara and Ilorin by those who were opportuned to participate at the event physically and virtually.

To an audience, “everyone is talking about your speech” and to another, “I am highly inspired listening to you ma,” while some others said her speech was “simply irresistible,” adding that it will “resonate in their minds for a long time to come.”
