Damilola Marshal, Daughter Of Legendary Fuji Musician, KWAM 1, Declares For Lagos Assembly

Fuji legend, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal’s daughter, Basirat Damilola Marshall, has declared her interest in contesting for a seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly, announcing her intention to run in the 2027 election for Surulere Constituency II.
Damilola made the announcement via her social media platforms, where she shared her campaign flier, stating, “The universe favours only the brave — it’s youth o’clock.”
Speaking further on her ambition, she said, “I am excited to share that I, Barrister Damilola Ayinde Marshall, am stepping forward to serve the good people of Surulere Constituency II at the Lagos State House of Assembly.”
“I am a woman of excellence and results. I am ready to serve and lead. For 12 years, I have practised as a lawyer, and that experience has shaped my understanding of governance, justice, and the real needs of my people.”
“I promise to be the voice of the youth in the House. As a young woman, I believe this is exactly what my people need right now, and that is why I have decided to step forward.”
“I listen to the youth because I am one of you, and I understand what we truly need. That is exactly why I am here to serve.”
