NEM Insurance Plc on Saturday reaffirmed its commitment to staff wellbeing with a fitness walk promoting regular exercise and preventive healthcare among employees.

The initiative formed part of the company’s internal wellness programme, encouraging healthier lifestyles while strengthening teamwork and workplace camaraderie.

The walk began at the company’s head office in Obanikoro, along Ikorodu Road, through Maryland and back to the office premises.

Staff members participated enthusiastically, turning out in large numbers and demonstrating strong support for the wellness initiative.

The company also used the opportunity to educate the public on the importance of insuring lives and property, while assuring customers of its “NEM Care” service.

The checks highlighted the importance of early detection and preventive healthcare in maintaining long-term wellbeing.

The programme also featured recreational activities, including aerobics sessions and a table tennis contest that encouraged participation and added excitement.

The company also celebrated staff members whose birthdays fell within the period, creating a relaxed atmosphere that strengthened team spirit and belonging.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of NEM Insurance Plc, Mr Andrew Ikekhua, stressed the importance of regular physical fitness.

“Regular fitness is no longer an option; it is a necessity for longevity and peak performance.

“At NEM, we believe our greatest asset is our people and their health remains our top priority,” he said.
