Nigerian Economy Is on the Path of Growth — Prophet Iyunade
…Says Donald Trump Sent by God to Rebuke Madness of the World
…As Church Celebrates 30th Anniversary, 24th Annual Convention
The President of Pentecostal Bible Ministries, Odo-Egbo, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Prophet Sunday Dare Iyunade, has said that the Nigerian economy is experiencing gradual improvement despite the economic challenges confronting the country.

Iyunade stated this while addressing journalists on Wednesday on the forthcoming 30th anniversary and 24th annual convention of the church with the theme “Maranatha (The Lord Cometh)”, scheduled to hold from Monday, March 23 to Sunday, March 29.

According to the cleric, the nation’s economy would bounce back as wealth gradually returns to the country.

“The economy of Nigeria will bounce back. Harvest is coming in Nigeria and it will spring up. I see daily improvement and growth in the economy. As this government continues its work, wealth will return to the country and there will be an explosion of prosperity. I believe God has heard the prayers of Christians,” he said.

He urged Nigerians to set aside ethnic sentiments and embrace patriotism in order to support national growth and unity.

“Nigerians need to drop ethnic bias and promote patriotism as the nation’s economy improves. There is great hope for our country. Nigeria will experience progress and God will disappoint those who have predicted the breakup of the nation,” he added.

Prophet Iyunade also noted that while there may be differing interests among groups in the country, Nigeria cannot be divided because, according to him, it is not part of God’s plan.

He advised various regions of the country to focus on development and technological advancement rather than agitation for separation.

“Any region that supports secession will hinder its own development and may continue to experience economic setbacks. Rather than promoting rebellion, all regions should work together to develop the country,” he said.

Commenting on global affairs, the cleric described the return of Donald Trump as part of a divine plan to address global challenges.

“When Trump lost in 2020, I told people he would return because he had not finished the assignment God gave him. Now he is back to continue that mission.

“God said He has found a man who will rebuke the madness of the world and correct many things before leaving office,” he said.

According to him, the actions of the United States and its allies against Iran and other global security threats would help reduce the influence of terrorist groups around the world.

He expressed optimism that global peace would improve as efforts are intensified against terrorism in places such as Iraq, Yemen, Syria and Afghanistan.

Speaking on the church’s anniversary and convention, Prophet Iyunade said the programme would begin on Monday, March 23, 2026 with a revival service.

He added that a Ministers and Workers’ Conference would hold from Tuesday, March 24 to Thursday, March 26 at the church premises.

According to him, a praise night will take place on Friday, March 27 at Zion City Camp Ground in Erunwon, Atan Road, Ijebu-Ode from 9:00 p.m., while the ordination and thanksgiving service will hold on Sunday, March 29 at the camp ground by 10:00 a.m.

Reflecting on the ministry’s journey, he said the church has grown significantly since its establishment on March 11, 1996.

“Thirty years ago, a vision was born-one rooted in faith, service and commitment to spiritual growth. Today, that vision has grown into a vibrant community impacting lives, strengthening families and spreading the values of love, compassion and righteousness of our Lord Jesus Christ,” he said.

He noted that the ministry has expanded beyond Ogun State to the United Kingdom, with members making notable progress in their careers, businesses, academics and other areas of life.

According to him, many testimonies have been recorded over the years, including families blessed with children and individuals experiencing breakthroughs in different aspects of life.

Prophet Iyunade also said that Ogun State has the potential to become Nigeria’s industrial hub, noting that it is second only to Lagos State in economic activities and ranks among the leading states in industrialisation.

He further stated that Ijebu Province, created during the colonial era, deserves to become a state in the future.

The cleric also paid tribute to the late Awujale of Ijebuland, HRM Oba Sikiru Adetona, describing him as a traditional ruler who contributed immensely to the development of Ijebuland and supported the church during difficult periods.

He prayed that God would grant the government wisdom in selecting a worthy successor to the late monarch who reigned for several decades.
