Ondo At 50: We Are Uniquely Blessed As A state — Abitogun

Hon. Oluwarotimi Abitogun, Chairman of the House Committee on Judiciary and representative of Akure South Constituency II in the Ondo State House of Assembly, has congratulated Ondo State on its momentous 50th anniversary.

In a statement personally signed by him on Saturday, he celebrated the Sunshine State’s remarkable journey, emphasising the enduring virtues of peace, unity, and good neighbourliness that have propelled its steady growth and resilience over the decades.

He stated that Ondo State’s ability to recognise and harness its unique strengths while embracing unity in diversity remains essential for sustaining peace, driving progress, and strengthening its vital role as a federating unit within the Nigerian federation.

“Ondo State is uniquely blessed,” he noted.

“Despite the challenges, our collective spirit, rich cultural heritage, and shared commitment to harmony have been the bedrock of our achievements and continued promise.”

The lawmaker also showered praise on Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s visionary leadership, commending his efforts in building on the solid foundations laid by his predecessors.

He said the governor’s dedication to consolidating gains across infrastructure, security, economic development, and the welfare of the people is paving the way for even greater prosperity in the years ahead.

“As Ondo State marks this golden milestone, I call on all indigenes and residents to renew their pledge to foster unity, embrace progress, and work collaboratively toward a brighter, more inclusive future for the Sunshine State,” he concluded.
