2027: 95% Of Total Votes Cast In Kogi Will Be Delivered To Tinubu – Fanwo

The Commissioner for Information and Communications in Kogi State, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo, has said that over 95 percent of the total votes that will be cast in the state in the 2027 presidential election will be delivered to President Bola Tinubu.
Fanwo disclosed this yesterday in an interview, stressing that Kogi State is mobilising for the President because his policies have benefited the people.
Speaking on the level of support the state will give to the president in 2027, the commissioner said, “It’s going to be massive. The governor, being the leader of the party in the state, is galvanizing mass support for Mr. President. He wants to make a statement with the 2027 presidential election. We want to ensure that the percentage that will be delivered by 2027 will beat whatever has been given to the president in the history of Nigeria.
“So, we’re doing a lot in Kogi State to mobilise for him. The people are happy with him. Councils are happy with him. The civil servants are able to get 100% of their salaries as a result of improved allocation allocation. The grassroots people, the disabled, the less privileged, who are benefiting directly from the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President and the Renewed Hope Initiative of the wife of the president, are happy with him. The governor, being their ambassador in the state, is doing so well that the opposition parties are collapsing. So you can only expect nothing less than 95% or 99% of the total votes cast in Kogi State for President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
“You could see the mammoth crowd at the Muhammadu Buhari Square on Saturday to declare support for him. All of them come from different villages, different local government councils in the state to declare their support. And to also go further to get the president 100 million Naira to purchase his form. They’re putting their money where their mouth is.”
On why Kogi State is passionate about supporting the president, Fanwo noted that it’s natural for the state government to align with the president. “The policies of the president have benefited the people of Kogi State. We’re also grateful that the president has been a guiding light to the governor of the state, who he has adopted as his own, guiding him to deliver good governance. Those policies have been able to fill lots of resources that have been able to help the governor to deliver on his promises to the people in health care, education, road construction and all infrastructure across the state. You could also see that a lot of empowerment programmes are ongoing in the state that are benefiting them. You also think about industrialisation and now we’re opening up space in the mining, the solid mineral sector for more people and even the state government to be able to participate. That’s quite welcoming to the state and we see this as a kind of economic freedom and expansion that’s needed and people are benefiting a lot from that.”
“When you come to think about the free trade zone too, for so many years no government was able to secure this free trade zone but the president, out of his love for the people of Kogi, gave it an approval and today work is ongoing to ensure that we have one of the biggest free trade zones in Africa right there at Ajaokuta.
He also emphasised that Governor Usman Ododo is not asking anybody for a second term yet because he’s concentrating on this is delivering on his mandate. “He kept saying that his priority is to deliver on this mandate and then leave the decision to the people of the state. Health care and education in agriculture is working daily to ensure that the people of the state get the support. He’s working for them to ensure that he delivers on his promises to the people.”
