A new Vice Chairman has been sworn in for Agege Local Government Area of Lagos State, with Honourable Adewale Sodiq Azeez officially assuming office at a well-attended ceremony held at the Agege Local Government Secretariat penultimate week.

The swearing-in ceremony marked the formal commencement of Hon. Azeez’s responsibilities in supporting the council’s administration and driving grassroots development across the local government.

In his new role, Hon. Azeez is expected to work closely with the council leadership to strengthen governance, promote inclusive development, and advance people-centred initiatives within Agege.

A young and rising political figure, Hon. Azeez is a public servant and entrepreneur with broad experience in marketing, business development, and community engagement. His business interests span fashion, entertainment, real estate, automotive services, and social impact initiatives, with footprints in Nigeria and abroad.

The ceremony attracted a large gathering of dignitaries, including council officials, political leaders, councillors, former chairmen and vice chairmen, party leaders, family members, and well-wishers, reflecting strong support for the new Vice Chairman as he begins his tenure.

Observers say his emergence signals renewed energy and commitment to effective grassroots governance in Agege Local Government.
