Ghanaian Police Arrest Nigerian Suspect Wanted In Killing Of FRSC Officer, Daughter

The Ghanaian Police Service has arrested a Nigerian national, Victor Benjamin Fajemirokun, who is wanted in connection with the killing of a Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) official and her daughter in Ogun State, Nigeria.
George Ohene-Boadi, Regional Commander of the Eastern South Regional Police Command, announced the arrest at a press briefing. He said the 36-year-old suspect fled Nigeria to avoid being apprehended by security agencies after the incident.
According to Ohene-Boadi, the police acted after receiving a video report alleging that Fajemirokun abducted and murdered Lasisi Funmilayo, an FRSC officer, and her young daughter, Sewa, in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
“The suspect was wanted by the Nigerian police, but he ran to Ghana to hide with his friends,” the commander said.
He added that officers promptly launched an intelligence-led operation after learning that Fajemirokun was hiding in a friend’s residence in Akutia, leading to his arrest in the Eastern Region.
