Tinubu Hails Security Forces as Dozens of Abducted Nigerians Regain Freedom

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the rescue of 38 abducted worshippers in Eruku, Kwara State, along with 51 students earlier kidnapped from a Catholic school in Niger State.
In a statement shared on his official X handle on Sunday, the President reminded Nigerians that he cancelled his trip to the G20 Summit in South Africa to personally oversee the security response to recent attacks.
He commended the security agencies for their determined efforts in securing the release of the victims, noting that he continues to monitor the nationwide security situation and receives regular briefings from frontline operatives.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to national safety, President Tinubu stated: “Let me be clear: I will not relent. Every Nigerian, in every state, has the right to safety — and under my watch, we will secure this nation and protect our people.”
