BREAKING: 38 Abducted Worshippers Regain Freedom As Gov. AbdulRazaq Hails President Tinubu’s Direct Intervention

Thirty-eight abducted worshippers of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Eruku, in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, have regained their freedom after days of coordinated rescue operations.
The confirmation was issued by Rafiu Ajakaye, Chief Press Secretary to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON), who announced on Sunday that the victims were released earlier today, November 23, 2025.
Ajakaye stated that Governor AbdulRazaq attributed the successful rescue to the “hands-on and decisive leadership” of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), noting that the President personally spearheaded efforts to free the abductees.
He added that President Tinubu cancelled a scheduled trip to the G20 Summit in South Africa to address security breaches in both Kwara and Kebbi States, and ordered heightened security presence across affected communities.
The Chief Press Secretary also conveyed the Governor’s appreciation to the Office of the National Security Adviser; the Department of State Services (DSS); the Nigerian Army; the Nigeria Intelligence Agency (NIA); and the Nigeria Police Force, which deployed four tactical teams to Kwara on the President’s orders.
Ajakaye further expressed the Governor’s gratitude to security personnel, community leaders, religious institutions, and all Kwarans for their solidarity throughout the ordeal.
