Nasarawa Police Deny Reported Kidnapping at St. Peter’s Academy

The Nasarawa State Police Command has refuted viral reports claiming that two pupils of St. Peter’s Academy, Rukubi, Doma LGA, were abducted. The alarm, raised on 21 November 2025, was confirmed to be false.
Police and military operatives deployed to the school discovered that the pupils had merely fled after sighting hunters carrying Dane guns, mistaking them for kidnappers. The school proprietor also affirmed it was a false alarm. Security in the area remains under close monitoring.
According to SP Ramhan Nansel, ANIPR, Police Public Relations Officer, the public should disregard the rumour, while media organisations are urged to verify information before publication to avoid misleading the public.
