A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo has hailed the members of the party for their peaceful conducts at the National Convention of the party, which is ongoing in Ibadan, Oyo State, saying that the convention will lead to a strong and formidable PDP that will defeat the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in 2027.
Ajadi, who was the governorship candidate of the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) in Ogun State in 2023, stated this, while speaking with journalists on the sideline of the  conventionat the Adamasingba Stadium, Ibadan
He said that the peaceful conduct of the members at the convention and the huge turnout of delegates and members is an indication that the PDP remains strong and formidable despite its recent crisis.
He said that the PDP will reclaim its glory with the peaceful conduct of its National Convention.
According to him, “PDP will take back its glory by the grace of God. So come 2027, the masses will decide who their leaders will be, and who will be their president. Every Nigerian knows that the PDP usually produces a government of the people by the people and for the people. So the party will reclaim its lost glory with this convention and we are fully set for the 2027 polls.”
Ajadi praised the host Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and the Convention Planning Committee for a job well done
He specifically appreciated  Governor Makinde, and Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State who is the Chairman of the Planning Committee for the convention and the Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, Dr. Bala Mohammed for their efforts, which he said resulted in a rancour-free national convention.
“I am highly impressed with the organisation of this convention. I know with the way we are now, this is a rebirth of the PDP. A new PDP that is formidable, strong and capable of taking over power from the APC-led government in 2027.
“There is no party without crisis and the PDP has definitely bounced back from its crisis. Kudos to our governors and party leaders, including Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja and several others too numerous to mention.
“After this convention, the new National Working Committee, (NWC) of the party should reach out to any aggrieved members. Let’s forget and forgive. All hands must be on deck to restore the PDP to its rightful position,” he said.
