2027: Kwara Political Leaders Unite To Support Tinubu’s Re-election

In a move to strengthen the political landscape in Kwara State ahead of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election come 2027, political bigwigs under the umbrella of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state have agreed to work together to support the President and attract more dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
At a strategic meeting attended by the Executive Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency, AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq, State Chairman of the party, Sunday Fagbemi, Senators, House or Representative Members and other federal government appointees from Kwara State, stakeholders engaged in constructive dialogue that fostered exchange of ideas and collaboration towards enhancing the political landscape for the President’s re-election.
Convener of the meeting, Otunba Biodun Ajiboye, who is the Executive Secretary of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO) and President Tinubu’s close ally, emphasized the importance of the gathering, saying Kwara state is blessed to be recognized by the President Tinubu-led administration and there is need to reciprocate such gesture, hence the unique opportunity for Kwara leaders to connect and collaborate for the betterment of the state.
He highlighted the commitment of the political stakeholders to support the President and to lay the groundwork for his re-election, saying “We decided to come together to think and talk about our politics and our situation in Kwara and for the first time, we are bonding like brothers. We have successfully discussed as a family, and we are taking it further from here”.
“Every elected and appointed leader here is dedicated to supporting the President and ensuring that we work together to bring the benefits of democracy to the people of Kwara. This meeting is basically geared towards making the political landscape in Kwara ready and permissible for the eventual victory of Mr. President”.
Senator Saliu Mustapha, representing Kwara Central, described the event as a family gathering of Kwara APC Members with a focus on mutual appreciation and aspirations for growth within the state.
“This meeting serves to recognize the President’s developmental efforts and to reinforce our commitment to his renewed hope agenda. Such collaborative efforts are essential for fostering a secure, prosperous, and united Kwara,” he stated.
The meeting also availed the opportunity to discuss and share valuable insights into the pressing security challenges facing the state and the role government has played to address the concerns.
