Lagos Speaker’s Game: Ex-LAHACA Vice Chairman, Adeleye, Reaches Table Tennis Finals
A former Vice Chairman of the Lagos State House of Assembly Correspondents Association (LAHACA), Mr. Shakiru Adeleye of Lagos Television (LTV 8), has advanced to the finals of the table tennis event in the ongoing 2025 edition of the Lagos Speaker’s Game.
Adeleye secured his place in the finals after defeating Dr. Onifade of the Health Commission in straight sets — 11-8, 11-9, 11-8 — in a thrilling semi-final encounter.
The annual sports competition is organised to commemorate the birthday of the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, which comes up on November 11.
Adeleye, who clinched gold in 2023 and silver in 2024, expressed optimism about reclaiming the top spot this year.
“I’m training hard and giving my best to win gold again,” he said confidently after his semi-final victory.
The finals promise to be part of this year’s Speaker’s Game, which brings together staff, correspondents, and agencies working with the Lagos State House of Assembly in a spirit of unity and sportsmanship.
