2023: Oke Ogun Leaders Unite For Tinubu, Oyo APC Governorship Candidate, Teslim Folarin, Others

Top leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oke-Ogun zone of Oyo State have vowed to mobilise for electoral victories of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Senator Teslim Folarin and other candidates of the party in the 2023 general elections.

This was revealed to First Weekly Magazine by a reliable source, who witnessed a closed-door meeting held in Ibadan in the house of a former deputy governor of Oyo State, Barrister Iyiola Oladokun.

The meeting, which was convened by the Chairman of Oyo APC Elders’ Advisory Council, Barr. Oladokun, had in attendance former deputy governor of Oyo State, Chief Moses Adeyemo Alake; the incumbent deputy governor of the state, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan; Chief Yinka Taiwo; former commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Hon. Rasaq Raji; former state secretary of the defunct ACN, Hon. Dele Akinleye; and former members of the Oyo State House of Assembly including Hon. Abdulfatai Abdulsalam, and Hon Hamzat.

According to the source, “the meeting was convened by Barr. Oladokun to reconcile the immediate past deputy governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Chief Moses Adeyemo Alake with other prominent stakeholders of the party to deliver all the party’s 2023 candidates – Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the next President of Nigeria, Senator Teslim Folarin as the next Governor of Oyo State and other candidates of the party.

“The outcome of our meeting is fruitful. APC in Oke-Ogun is now getting united to mobilise for the electoral victories of our party’s candidates. We’re putting our house in order ahead of the 2023 general elections.”

Senator Teslim Folarin was said to have commended former and serving deputy governors; Barrister Iyiola Oladokun (Deputy Governor of Oyo State, 1999-2003), Chief Moses Adeyemo Alake (Deputy Governor of Oyo State, 2011-2019), and the current Deputy Governor of the state, Engr. AbdulRauf Remi Olaniyan and other critical stakeholders of the party in Oke-Ogun for working day and night to reconcile, harmonise, reposition and strengthen the party ahead of 2023.
