Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday moved in on the Maitama residence of former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, shutting down access to the property amid an ongoing probe.
The operatives, said to be led by Folarin Dare, arrived in about five buses, dressed in their trademark red and black jackets and armed, before barricading the road leading to the house.

The residence, located at No. 2 Koranakh Close, off Amazon Street in Maitama, Abuja, was completely sealed off, with movement in and out of the area restricted.
Attempts to gain entry into the property were unsuccessful as the operatives maintained a tight cordon around the premises.
The action is believed to be tied to an investigation into alleged financial improprieties.
More details are expected to emerge.
